Mizuhiki workshop

Creative meditative experience

Mizuhiki (水引) is a traditional art form deeply rooted in Japanese culture and customs with over 1,200 years of history.

The workshop in a small group setting can provide a focused environment where participants can learn skills at their own pace.

** It is good for beginners and experienced crafters. **

You can choose your favourite colors from our original selection of colorful cords to make your own Mizuhiki designs.

All the other parts (e.g., earring findings and accessory parts.) you need to complete your project are also provided.

You will leave the workshop with at least two completed pieces, whether it’s Mizuhiki charm(s) to be used as part of earrings, hair accessories, brooches, keychains, or ornaments to suit your needs.

There are various Mizuhiki designs with different patterns and colors used depending on the seasons and occasions that we can share for each workshop.

Please let me know if you have any seasonal or special occasion themes that you’d like to work on.

About the instructor

Hello! I am a graphic web designer and mother of three who lives in Richmond – near Vancouver, BC.
It’s been several years since I became passionate about Mizuhiki. Making Mizuhiki designs is one of my calming moments. In a way, it feels like meditation.
